Inside Our Current Issue

As the summer months approach, we all look forward to leisure time and time spent on vacation, in the garden, on the porch, and (of course) with the kids out of school. Whether you go away for the season or enjoy your time at home, this issue of Knit 1-2-3 has something you’re sure to want to knit up. We feature shrugs, a wonderful eyelet-patterned cover-up (which I, not being a beach person, would wear year-round as an oversized jacket), shawls, wraps, a fabulous beaded necklace, and more!

Included are patterns for kids, from boatneck pullovers in summery shades and a dancing dress for babies and toddlers to a ruffly cami and a so-cute tutu (inspired by those made using dad’s old ties) for girls. In “Gram & Me,” Gram shows Mia how to knit a strap for the water bottle holder Gram knit for her—the perfect project for summer camp use.

Wishing you could join me on the porch...
